Nov-March WINTER TEAM PLAY – Boys’ Gr 5

Mo’ Motion WINTER Nov-March Team Play – TRAINING & LEAGUE PLAY — includes team-oriented weekend practices as well as an optional Boost weeknight workout — do not pay for it, it is included.  BOOST is a more individual work with a team point or two) = up to 3 times per week for 15 weeks/weekends, which will include games built within or close to team practice slots. Games and practices are mostly on the Upper West Side.  Right now, subject to change, Boys’ Gr 5 practices will be:

Sat 11-1pm at MS 54 Booker T enter on W108/near Col (but plan on possible extension until 1:30pm)
Sun 9-11am at MS 54 Booker T (but plan on possible games through 1pm during league play time)
We don’t ask for more than two hour slots on weekends, but we ask you to keep windows of time open.
Games will be built in/near this practice slots. We will include bonus games and fun during the season and in the final weekend.
Boost weeknight – player’s pick MON-FRI UWS and WED on the UES.

OFF:  Thxgiving Wknd, Xmas/NY wknd, Prez Wknd — ON for MLK Wknd


Our homegrown league is gothambaskteball.com. Team players get access to all bonus events – extra games, gym time, open gyms. WINTER is BASKETBALL season and TEAM TIME. We require teams to practice for 3-4 weekends before adding games because this is the best training model. Kids are playing too many games, too soon, too often (year-round). We get better results – IF KIDS SHOW UP TO TEAM TIME and treat it as important as game time. (We take attendance and we like to typically practice on Sat, play games on Sundays once we are in full league mode mid-Dec through March 4.) Email office@momotion.org with your Boost workout night/location selected. You can also request to play with friends, but note we teach and develop all of our players and like our kids to be able to play with friends, new teammates and even in all-star games.
